This ring is stamped 10% Irid Plat, an alloy with 90% platinum and 10% iridium. This was one of the typical ways platinum jewellery was alloyed and stamped in the early 1900s. The diamonds are are Old European Cut, a precursor to the modern Round Brilliant Cut. Old European Cut diamonds were popular between the 1890s and 1930s.
